Tuck |
This sexy boy is Tuck! Tuck is another lucky guy that got admitted to CCAS when we moved into the new sanctuary. Tuck came from Rocky Mt Feline Rescue in Denver. He came as a young kitten and stayed with them for over three years. No adoptive homes could be located during that time, so sanctuary care became the goal. The purpose of CCAS is to be a forever home for cats that are unable to find an adoptive home. LuAnn remembers when Tuck came to RMFR, and has watched him grow up over the years. She wanted to invite him to CCAS, but at the time the cats were still displaced after the fire so admissions was closed. Fortunately, they reached out to inquire about a transfer just a couple of months before the big boys were moving to the new space. We had a spot for Tuck, and he came in September 2021. In the few months that he has been here, Tuck has really challenged the status quo. The boy has leadership skills;-) |
Oz has been the top cat among the #bigboys for several years. Tuck is tenacious - he continues to try to unseat him. Oz is a pacifist, but Tuck pushed him beyond his usual coping mechanisms recently. We heard/saw a side of Ozzie that we were unfamiliar with until then! When Tuck is not working on Oz's seat at the top of the hierarchy, he is vying for Eddie or Mitt's seat in the top three. I am sure he will find his place soon and things will settle down. My guess is that he was the top cat at RMFR because he was there for so long. Needless to say, adding two new cats at the same time the boys moved to the new place has created a bit of chaos that none of us are used to - including the cats! They were getting complacent, so Tuck has livened things up a bit;-) As he is learning - 'it's a long way to the top if you wanna rock 'n roll'! Stay tuned for details...we love Tuck regardless of his position among the big boys! He will find his way. |
