BillyB aka BB
BB was four years old when he came to CCAS in 2021- a bit small for his age. At some point earlier that year BB sustained an injury that resulted in tail amputation.
Fortunately, he can walk and has perfect mobility. However, as in most cases when the tail is shortened he has some neurological deficits. BB is unable to control his bladder. He has some bowel function, though it is not exactly perfect.
BillyB fits in perfectly at CCAS where most of the cats are tailless Manx or have had amputations.
We are delighted to have BB among the CCAS crew!

Look who is now a CCAS kitty! This handsome young guy is BillyB! Just look at those eyes - so dreamy.
He looks almost identical to Ellery, another new girl that was adopted by the caregivers. BB has some white on his belly, but it is hard to see that most of the time.
Ellery is three years older and a bit bigger than BB. She also has a duck tail as she is a Manx cat. Billy's amputation left him with more of a flat spot where his tail should begin.
It is hard to get a photo of Billy, as he is in constant motion unless he not feeling well. So instead, we have videos of BB is action - check out the one below!

Just a glimpse into BB's world - and what a joy it is to live with this delightful little guy! You may notice the catnip on his tummy and all over the floor - no wonder he was having such a good time. That is Merlin in the background enjoying the action! |
