Hey Canta Claws – I hear you bring gifts to good kitties. I would like a pair of leggings (email mom for details) to keep my nubs warm and this cool toy. I can’t play with a lot of things because I have no feet, but this is one thing I love!
Hi Canta – I am the baby of the sanctuary and I am kinda scrappy. It would be cool to have some toys like these to play with so I can ignore the big boys until I grow up and no longer need to prove myself – geez.
How’s it going, Canta? I am the ambassador for the sanctuary, welcoming all the new kitties when they come. I also clean and groom all the cats. It would be cool if I could get a few of these self-grooming tool to help me – the kitties don’t always like it when I clean them by myself, for some reason. I have hold some of them down for bath time!
Dear Mr. Claws – My name is The Goddess Izzabella and I am the oldest of the sanctuary cats, age12. I am unique in that I don’t have a tail (neither do 6 of the others, so not that unique here), I hop when I run and I am white, so the humans call me Bunny. I would really benefit from a (size extra small) sweater, as I only weigh 7 pounds, so I get very cold when mom and dad aren’t here to keep me warm. I also really miss going on walks, so having a new harness (size small) would be nice, too.
Hey there! I am Chan, one of the younger boy at CCAS. I have messed up back legs that won’t bend, so I can’t scratch my ears or jump– it sucks but could be worse! If you could find some steps to help me get up and down, that would be cool.
My Dearest Mr. Claws: Allow me to introduce myself, Mitt Romney Gandolf I aka Mitt or Mittens. I am a portly young man, despite eating the same food and quantity as the others. I love to run, roll and play outside when catio-time is allowed. I must admit that I can climb the gate and catproofing to escape, when I choose. Nonetheless, my mom is worried about my weight.
She thinks I would benefit from a ripple rug. I suppose the exercise would be good for me – extra weight makes it harder for humans to help me urinate.
Hello, I am Luma aka Lulu or LumaLu. The big boys are always picking on me, and it makes me feel scared. I am always on the lookout for them lurking around, and only feel safe when I am up high above them. I wonder if it is possible for you to get some cat shelves for me to have more vertical space? If so, I would feel much less afraid.
Hi – It is LuAnn speaking for Sammie, as she is too timid to speak for herself. Sammie was missing for a month after the fire in December that destroyed our home and sanctuary. She is fine physically, but has always been very timid. She would benefit from a small, secure space to hide from the world, like these cubes.
Hello – I am JohnnyCash! aka the cat in black😉 I was a total mess the first year I was at the sanctuary, but I am all better after two surgeries and a special (boring) diet for a year. It would be cool to have one of those big cat wheel things to play on when we can’t be outside in the catio – it snows a lot here in Colorado for a few months of the year. Mom says it will help with arthritis where I broke my hip as I get older, too. I guess several of us are at risk for arthritis here, so I will have to share.
Hello there, I am Cyndi Lauper aka Cinderella and Cyndi Lu. I just got to the sanctuary a week ago, so I am still staying to myself. I am used to a lot of cats and people offering their undivided attention. It is sort of boring now, but I know that will change in a week or so. I forgot to mention that I have no back feet. I need some leggings to keep my nubs warm, like Merlin, but I only have two nubs.
